Are employee ambassadors the same as sportfluencer ambassadors?

No. Whoever searches for "brand ambassador" in Belgium mostly finds employee advocacy: employees posting about their employer on LinkedIn. That's an HR and employer-branding question. Sportfluencer ambassadors are customers, not staff: athletes who use your product and post about it to their own audience. Different people, different audience, different credibility.

The difference comes down to three things. Who: an employee has a stake in the company, a sportfluencer in the product. Where: employee advocacy lives on LinkedIn, sportfluencers on Instagram, TikTok and Strava. And what it proves: an employee praising their employer proves loyalty; an athlete still using your gel in March proves the product works.

Sunday Squad Ambassadors is the second. We work exclusively with athletes who aren't on your payroll, and that's deliberate: the value of the recommendation lies in the fact that they sell you nothing. If you want both, they don't clash; an employee programme reaches your sector, a sportfluencer squad reaches your buyers. What a sportfluencer is, and what ambassador marketing is.
