For people who already use the rowing machine
Who we're looking for, and what you need to take part.
This collab comes down to one thing: you need to already use the rowing machine.

We're looking for rowers, fitness racers (Hyrox, DEKA), CrossFitters and functional fitness athletes who are on it every week — and who aren't fond of staring at a wall for twenty minutes. Whether your machine sits at home or at the box where you train doesn't matter. Whether you actually train on it does.

No rowing machine, no entry. It has to connect over Bluetooth: Concept2 (with a PM5 monitor), WaterRower, Technogym Skillrow, RP3, FluidRower and most other recent models. An older monitor without Bluetooth won't work. That's why we ask for brand and model in the application form — not a trick question, just the only way to know whether that code is worth anything to you.
What EXR does with your rowing machine
The app, and what you get to use for a year.
EXR is an app for indoor rowing. You connect your rowing machine over Bluetooth to your phone, tablet, PC or Apple TV, and your session becomes a game instead of a time trial against yourself.
  • Workouts, races, challenges and achievements
  • Syncs with Strava, Concept2 Logbook, Apple Health and TrainingPeaks
  • Row solo, or live against others

Anyone can try EXR free for fourteen days. You get a full year.
One Story, one Reel
What we ask of you — and what's welcome but not required.
  • 1 Instagram Story during your first session — your screen, your rowing machine, your first reaction. Tag @exrgame and @sundaysquad1, use #exrsquad.
  • 1 Instagram Reel in which you use EXR and share your honest experience. Including when it isn't purely positive. Tag @exrgame and @sundaysquad1, use #exrsquad.
  • Upload via your Sunday Squad dashboard: Reel link + a screenshot of your Story insights, 24 hours after publishing.

Welcome, but not required: extra Stories during a session, your result after an online race, or a second Reel.
What you get out of it
A year of EXR on your own rowing machine. Retail value €119.40.

Frequently asked questions about this briefing

Answers to the most frequently asked questions.

I'm not a rower, I do Hyrox and CrossFit. Is this for me?

Yes, and you're exactly who we're looking for. EXR already has the rowing world: World Rowing, the Flemish Rowing League, Olympians in the testimonials. What's missing are the people who row 1000 metres every week without ever calling themselves rowers. No club needed, no technique, no palmares — juRead the full answer →

My rowing machine has no Bluetooth. Can I still take part?

No. EXR connects to your rowing machine over Bluetooth, and without that connection the app measures nothing. A Concept2 with PM5, a WaterRower with Bluetooth, a Skillrow or an RP3 all work. An older PM3 or PM4 monitor does not. Put the brand and model in your application and we'll check it.Read the full answer →

I don't have a rowing machine at home, but there's one at my box. Does that count?

Yes, that counts. But EXR runs on your own screen, connected to the machine — and setting that up in a busy box during class hours is harder than at home in your garage. If you can use it outside class or during open gym, no problem. Tell us in your application where the machine is and when you can Read the full answer →

Can I give my honest opinion?

Yes — it's literally why you're asked. Your audience believes you precisely because you don't sound like an ad. "Sits well on long runs, less on intervals" is more credible than "best product ever". Honest does mean fair, concrete and respectful, though.Read how honesty increases the commercial value of your post →

Frequently asked questions about your application

Answers to the most frequently asked questions.

Do I need to have 10,000 followers?

No. We work with nano- and micro-influencers from 1,000 followers, sometimes fewer if the community clicks. What counts is that you really train and that your audience sees it.Read why a micro-audience in one sport outperforms broad reach →

Why should I apply if I'm not guaranteed to be selected?

Because one application puts you in view not for one collab, but for all the next ones. Your profile stays in the pool; selection is about fit, and fit varies per campaign. Not being chosen says something about the match of that moment, not about you.Read how your profile stays in the pool for all future collabs →

What are the next steps after I apply for a collab?

After you apply comes the selection: we and the brand pick the squad based on your application and your profile. If you're chosen, a short briefing follows, you get the product or shop credit, you create your content and wrap up with a quick recap. Keep posting between applying and selection — an acRead the full answer →

What kind of content can I make for EXR as a sportfluencer?

Anything you actually do on your rowing machine, with the screen in frame — without showing the app, you're just showing a rowing machine. Think: your first session, your regular training with EXR running, a live race, or your setup at home. No product shots, no sponsor talk. And you're allowed to bRead the full answer →

Answers to the most frequently asked questions.

Does everyone who applies for a collab get selected automatically?

No. Every collab has 25 spots and we select on sporting match, content quality and engagement — not just follower count. You can't lose by applying; you can only get selected.Find out what happens to your profile after a non-selection →

Can I improve my chances of being selected?

Yes: keep your profile complete, post real sports content regularly, respond quickly to invitations and only say yes to collabs that genuinely fit. It's cumulative — whoever fits well, delivers on time and communicates honestly becomes more interesting for future squads.Find out what really counts in selection — and what doesn't →

Frequently asked questions about this collab

Everything you need to know about this partnership.

Do I get paid as a sportfluencer at Sunday Squad?

Not in cash. You get the brand's product as the reward for your content — no fee, no transfer. Cash attracts creators who monetise; product attracts creators who want to use the brand. What you get exactly is always set out up front in the briefing.Read what you concretely get in return for your content →

What do I get in return for my content?

The brand's product — a product package, race ticket, event access or exclusive drop, depending on the collab. The retail value is always set out up front in the briefing. The product is yours to keep: no return label, no expiry date.Read why the product is the reward — not a fee →

Do I have to be a top or professional athlete to take part?

No, on the contrary — we work with amateur and lifestyle athletes, not pros. No podiums or race results needed. What counts is that you genuinely train, post about it regularly, and have an audience that reacts. Not your level, but your content.Read the full answer →

I don't speak Dutch. Can I still join?

Yes. Not every collab is in Dutch — which language is required is set per collab in the briefing. Some brands want Dutch, others French or English, and for some it doesn't matter.Read which collabs also run in French or English →
