How many creators are satisfied with income from affiliate programmes?
Only 24% of surveyed affiliate creators were satisfied with the income generated by affiliate programmes. That makes commission useful as a measurement and bonus mechanism, but fragile as the only compensation for ongoing ambassador work.
A creator also invests before a sale happens: learning the product, producing content, publishing and answering community questions. When all risk sits with the creator, the relationship feels transactional and consistent quality becomes harder to sustain.
Sunday Squad therefore separates compensation for the work from a bonus for results. Product, a fixed fee per round and optional commission can coexist. The right mix depends on product value, deliverables and how reliably sales can be measured.
The source is a CreatorIQ/Ipsos survey of more than 125 creators active in affiliate programmes. Satisfaction is self-reported and does not provide an income benchmark.
