What do I get in return for my content?
The brand's product. What that means concretely varies per collab — a complete gear set, a race ticket, event access, an exclusive drop. One collab gives you a new cycling bib, another a race entry you'd otherwise pay for yourself.
Two things always apply. The retail value is communicated up front — you know what it's worth before you say yes. And the product is yours to keep: no return label, no expiry date. That's the logic of the model: the product is the reward, not a loan to work with.
Why no cash? Someone who joins for the product joins because it fits what they already do. Someone who joins for the amount posts a copy-paste caption faster.
